Hi,
I composed this piece with EQWL piano and a pad in Omnisphere. I uses Spaces reverb. All criticisms are welcome, especially in mixing and compression ![]() http://soundcloud.com/rrand/piano-ambience I use reaper as a DAW Last edited by politik; 06-30-2012 at 03:30 PM. |

Nice job. Personally, I prefer string accompaniments to the pads...it makes it a bit less synthetic. But, then again, there are some effects that you can achieve with pads, but not strings (for example, the high register at the end of the song, which would have sounded shrill and unrealistic in a string section).
But the synth thing is mostly just my personal preference. I did enjoy the song. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your comments ! In fact, the melody came after playing a while with omnisphere. That's why I use a pad instead of strings as accompaniment. But usually, I use strings
![]() I never understand why I sometimes have a click with ewql piano when rendering... Sometimes I have to render again my project to not have it ! Quiet annoying... By the way, thank you for your posts !

Hey really nice!
But sometimes I think the Pad\Strings are to loud, for example the part at 2:25. I'm often searching fo those Pads to achieve this ambience, I'm trying with Goliath Stormdrones but they are often to much in the foreground. Nice Piece |

Hey Nice piece!
![]() The only thing I don't like are those things coming in at 1.11, they sound like a cheap midi-keyboard from the dark ages or something ![]() The pause is maybe slightly too long, but that's probably personal taste. About the click: you can read any info on it in a topic in the support section

Actually, the recording was done only once for each track and I did some automation. I will remix the project and I will take consideration of your advices ! Thank you !
Indeed, there is a post about the clicks in the support section but apparently, they have'nt resolved it yet !
