Default Staccato vocals

Hello, I have a question about the symphonic choirs in conjunction with Logic Pro 9. When I bring in the choirs, I keep hearing a noticable delay and the choirs never seem to be on the beat. This isn't too bad (though not ideal) when dealing with sweeping and epic phrases that have strings and brass to back them up, but when I have the choirs singing staccato with timpani, there is a very noticible delay. I thought it was a latency issue, but it only seems to happen when using the multi patches. It doesn't happen to me with the symphonic orchestra. Is there any way to improve accuracy and to achieve very punctual notes with the choirs? I read through the manual and watched the tutorial lessons on YouTube, but I was never getting as clean results. I'm a big fan of bombastic and cinematic compositions and if I could get the choirs to be more articulate, I think it would take things to a new level.

Thank you for any help or advice!

Try adding a > after each word in Wordbuilder.

Do you have the VOTA expansion as well? This choir is perfect for staccato.

Thank you for your response I tried typing the > before each phrase, but I'll try after the word as well. Thank you! I do have the VOTA expansion, though I haven't played around with it as much... Are the staccato patches for that more dynamic? I'll give it a try this afternoon.

Thank you!!

Yes, I find VOTA more staccato based. Reminds me a lot of the original soundtrack for "The Omen" LOL!

That's perfect, I'm a big fan of cinematic soundtracks and have been working on compositions similar to Hollywood symphonics! If you have any other advice for precision and timing with choirs, I'd love to hear it!

Thank you very much for your help!!

If the attack is too slow, I sometimes simply move the midi events a bit to the left Works like a charm.

That's a good idea! I'll be trying that out as well, thank you! I tried using the > command and it's definitely a step in the right direction! I think a combination of these will work quite well. The VOTA voices sound great as staccato as well, it's getting better and better!!

Hey Nishant, when you are near your DAW, could you please post a screenshot?

Thanks! I wasn't aware of this feature in the options menu.
