Default Greetings from SoFla - EWSO Platinum Newbie

Just a quick hello to fellow newbies to EW out there. I recently purchased EWSO Platinum after much deliberation between a few other orchestral products. I'm VERY happy that I did. And so far, pleased with the results I'm getting. I also have the EW Pianos. Very pleased with the Yamaha C7 I just wish I understand the minutia of things like envelopes, etc. I think I've got mic positioning, staging and such down well. But then I don't trust my judgment not being the technical audio engineer expert who would hear things totally differently I'm sure!

I'm currently working on a music project, hope to be released later this year. It's cliche, a Christmas project for a number of admirers, friends and family... I'm sure many of you know how that goes. I've been orchestrating for strings and solo instruments using Finale 2012 starting back in December of 2011. I started with Garritan to get the sounds right during editing and scoring. Moving to EW was THE right decision for going final with scoring and then will bring into ProTools 10x for ultimate mixing.

Which brings me to a question... Does anyone know if EW has an "authorized" list of EW pros, possibly a list of certified pros to contact? I am in need of a pro audio engineer who is experienced in final mastering and EQ using ProTools and EW instruments. Ideally I'd schlep my PT's sessions over. Of course, can't pay through the nose as a humble indie here At any rate, if anyone can point me in the right direction, that would be helpful.

I'm hesitant to share my simple works just yet. But I hope to share samples when I feel any are remotely good enough to do so. Listening to a number of samples on here humbles a person quickly...

All my best to all of you.
Isaac

Welcome Isaac!

There's list of 'EW authorized mastering engineers', if you are on a tight budget you'll do yourself a favor by educating yourself as far as possible. There are commercial facilities that will do a mastering of tracks, if you search you'll find a few good remmendations.
