Would it've been incorrect if we were talking about HS/HB?

Possibly some of it I don't know. Have a look in the HS/HB manuals to find out.

Manolito Mystiq - HS and HB are different to SO. SImply put:

HS: Depending on the patch, CC#11 or CC#1 will control dynamics. The 'powerful instruments' have control over crossfading through dynamics (CC#11) and vibrato depth (CC#1). There are a number of lighter patches that use CC#1 to crossfade between both vibrato depth and dynamic layers at the same time. Whilst lighter on your system they are less flexible.

HB: Uses CC#1 to crossfade between dynamic layers.

I apologize if it's a dumb question, but what are you guys talking about these CC numbers ? I mean, I never seen these in my EWQL VST's before reading topics in this forum, and now that I'm encoutering a problem with the sensitivity curve (I have to modulate the curve dynamically so it can evoluate on the fly instead of having of having a fixed curve), I think it could help if I knew what it is.

Thanks in advance for your help

Continuous Controller Commands. For example, CC7 is volume, and CC11 is expression. The Mod wheel is an example of how to use these CC's.

They are common control parameters, but can be assigned. Here are the typical CC's....

0 Bank Select. Never re-route anything to Controller 0.
1 Modulation Wheel. Can be remapped to other controllers on some synths
2 Breath controller. Can be remapped to other controllers on some synths
4 Foot Pedal
5 Portamento Time
6 Data Entry
7 Volume
8 Balance
10 Pan position
11 Expression

Thanks for your answer. Indeed, it will help me for a lot of problems I'm having actually. But where can I find these CCC in my DAW ? (I'm using FL Studio 10)

You edit them via controller lanes in your sequencers piano roll editor. - There are other ways to edit them which will be in your sequencerse user manual but the piano roll controller lane is the usual way.
