Default Chaining together Lacie thunderbolt SSDs into thunderbolt port

Anybody here chain Lacie ssd thunderbolt drives together and run them into your thunderbolt port? I heard it can increase the streaming speed somehow?
If you chained 3 together maybe you can get 900mbps going into the thunderbolt port or something-300mbps x 3? If this works it would be nice for streaming samples and you could buy each drive as you need them, which would be convenient. Also the next obvious question would be how many drives can you chain together? Is there a technical limitation or can you keep chaining them together until you reach the speed of thunderbolt 1, 2, or 3 (10, 20, or 40gbps respectively)?
