Default EWQL and Cubase expression maps

Hello,

I recently discovered 'Expression map' technique in cubase to compose with EWQL products it's really really amazing !
You must load keyswitch program in PLAY and affect an expression map to the track in Cubase (5 or superior).
After you could to each note by simply a mouse clic affect an articulation to the note.
I found all the expression map for EW products in this link :
Cubase_EW_products_expression_maps
So with this technique you could only have a single track for each instrument, your project will be easily readable in cubase and simplify a lot the programmation for the articulations.

have fun

baba

babaorum - The expression maps are so much more powerful than that. You can use expression maps to change midi chanels. Thus, you could load a sus_DXF patch in chan 1, a stacc rrx3 in chan 2, a legato patch in chan 3 etc etc and use expression maps to switch between them. You use one instance of Play per instrument and load only the articulations you require. In HS and HB the mod_speed patches can be loaded in to one chan and you can use expression maps to change the Modwheel value to switch between articulations.

Riveted (a forum member) has had them out for a while. They are fantastic to start with, and then you can customise them yourself.
