Default Does anyone know how to map expression and modulation to a Korg nanoKONTROL 2 for HS?

macOS: Mojave
Daw: Logic Pro X 10.4.3
Why I need expression and modulation: EW Hollywood Strings Gold

I've tried YouTube videos, trial and error, and have come up short. When you plug the controller in, it instantly maps to basic Logic Pro X controls (record, play, instrument/master volume, etc.). I know there's a video or two about how to get around this but either I keep missing a few steps (which could be the case) or it may have to do with my macOS being Mojave. Honestly, not sure. I tried the Korg editor which did nothing, the Korg plug-in which did nothing (unbeknownst to me), and I installed their midi driver which stopped my midi keyboard from working. Luckily they had a driver uninstaller on their site that got it up and running again. I also tried mapping the control assignments (in logic control surfaces) to Hollywood Strings Gold but I couldn't find expression or modulation in the instrument plug-in.
