Default How to make MOR black kit sound like SD2 black kit?

Hi

Hoping for a quick response here... ;-)

does anyone know the exact processing (or close enough) that EW used to make the Black Kit from MOR sound beefier in SD2?

Could really do with knowing for a project on a tight time scale....and I dont want to use just the Black from SD2 cos it doesnt allow you to control the individual sounds in the kit like MOR does...

Thank you one and all

B

Lucky you. As in you can adjust individual volumes of different drums/cymbals inside the PLAY window (you know that little mixer?)

Can't you route specific articulations to different midi channels in the browser screen? I would think you would want to do that for EQing purposes anyway.

Don't think you can. Even if you could...

There is no way to eq/process data on a MIDI track - at least not with any seqencer that I know of.

What I do, is load several instances, and each patch gets routed to it's own Instrument ch. There, I can process individual samples.

Cheers.

The easiest way to do it, is to split your midi drum track, so that each midi note has it's own track (in cubase, do this with disolve part)
So, if C1 is your kick note, it will be on track 2. Asign an instance of play to track 2.In that instance load the black kit, then unload all the drums except the kick.Track 3 will be snare, use another instance of play, unload all the drums except the snare.Do this for the rest of the drums.
Does the black kit preset in SD 2 use a different reverb, than the the one in MOR. I thought the only difference was, more toms in SD 2.
