Default Eastwest Gold Xp+Kontakt 3+Logic Pro 8 Sync Problem HELP!

I got Kontakt 3 hosting Eastwest Gold XP under Logic Pro 8. Playback is all good, but when I recorded strings from midi keyboard I got Audio/Midi Sync error message and later Overload message. Then the project became unplayable until Logic reboot. All devices' sample rates are 44.1k, but Logic would say Audio/Midi Sync error sample rate of "42900" detected. What the **** did I do wrong? I've tried everything. Auto Sync is OFF. Buffer is way up to 1024. Multi processor in Kontakt ON. CPU protection disabled. THIS HAPPENS IN BUILT-IN AUDIO AS WELL.

The only thing I did that could be wrong was that I have five different string Patches loaded and mapped in Multi Mode in Kontakt on a single track (the patches include 2 Kontakt VSL and 3 EW strings). This way I can play the entire string section with diverse sound and record at once. But this is the only Kontakt track in the project. Should I spread them? All other VIs are logic's own instruments.

Currently going crazy! Please help! My setup: MBP 2.2G, 4Gb memory, 10.4.11, Logic 8, Kontakt 3, Eastwest Gold Bundle, Lacie 500GB via eSATA, Saffire LE.

Thank you!

Hi Eric,

I'd like to help--are you getting a MIDI loop feeding back into Kontakt? I'm not sure I understand yet. Are you recording audio from your keyboard strings into the the computer?

Eric,

Tech support is available by (a) searching the FAQ section (go to the tech support section here) or (b) filling out a support ticket, which is in the same place.

Thanks,

Admin
