Default What is the "Middle Velocity"

When I use a mouse (not midi controller ) and click a note in kompakt player, what velocity does it assum ?

When I dont need a very soft nor very strong bowling , just a normal sound, what velocity should I take?

You need to use your ear for what you want. Velocity is basically the soft to loud value.

midi is 0 to 127, so a note at 15 velocity value will play a soft stroked sample.

a vel value of 100 will play a harder stroked sample.

recorded samples have different triggers for different velocity values. There may be 4 to 6 samples per instrument and a different sample plays with different velocity values.

When you are just using the mouse, have you noticed that the further back you click the key, the softer the note plays, and the further to the front edge of the key you click, the louder it is?

And like Lex says, you must use your ears. All instruments have there samples set up custom. The same midi velocity will not equal the same volume or intensity on every instrument.

I see, thx.

but I really can't hear a difference when I click a key further from or closer to the edge.
