Default How do i get KOMPAKT-INTAKT-KONTAKT '2' ????

Once again this need to keep upgrading the OS in MAC is simply out of hand.

Can't apple or Mr Jobs realize that many of us are NOT professionals thus we don't make money from our music and to keep current on BOTH my DV & Music would cost several thousand. Not just software......but hardware like my Digi-001 interface......works fine, but to stay current in the OS, what 10.5 now i would need 2 changes cuz Protools cant or won't use the SAME box......i bet thats $700 EACH time.

So now since NI has discontinued their KOM-INtak-KON series cuz yep were all gonna skip out to a MAC dealer and buy a intel based mac (isn't that a PC) so all that cash we blew on our 'elegant'apples theirgonna be PCs any day now.......so WHY keep milking us.......

sorry....anyway......can we share these older apps if we are already an owner ?

how do i get a version '2' of one or all of them ? (anything higher won't run on my setup and im fine keeping it basic)

if you have that ver. and its not being used .....ill recycle it !

any help here

If you have an Intel-based Mac and you want to run software that was originally based on Native Instruments Kompakt and Intakt, you need to buy Native Instruments Kontakt 3.

Since you already own some "NI (sampler) powered" applications (since you are posting about Kompakt and Intakt, or Kontakt and Intakt), you can "crossgrade" to Kontakt 3 for $249:
http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Kontakt3cg/

To actually get your NI powered apps running on an Intel Mac (using Colossus as an example):
1. Install Colossus on your Intel Mac
2. Use the NI Service Center application to authorize the product -- http://www.native-instruments.com/in...id=freeupdates
3. Launch Colossus one time in Standalone mode
4. Install Kontakt 3 on your Intel Mac
5. Use the NI Service Center app to authorize the product
6. Download the latest Kontakt 3 update -- http://www.native-instruments.com/in...id=updates&L=1
7. Open Kontakt 3, and load/play/use Colossus (or whatever product)

P.S. -- If you are referring to EastWest products when you ask "can I get a version 2", this is not possible. Since EastWest was creating their own sample playback engine (PLAY) they decided against upgrading their existing products to the "Kontakt Player 2" engine (which is MacIntel compatible).
