Default How to update PLAY?

Can someone clue me in on the trick to successfully updating? I haven't updated since Oct and I recall that updating was a nightmare of 'create a restore point', attempt update, watch it freeze at "Time remaining: 0 seconds", abort update, perform a restore and try again (presumably with something changed, like unplug network cable etc).

The update readme gives you this ominious warning "Install the pace drivers located in "Pace Driver Installers" but isn't very clear: RE-install the drivers - or only if they aren't installed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I just updated it was no problem - nothing about restore points???

You get the drivers (I assumed they were an update too) with the download. I ran them, despite thinking I was up-to-date and the installer just told me I didn't need to as they were up-to-date.

Good luck..

I can't update either. I tried yesterday.

The "Pace Driver Installers" worked fine.

But I couldn't find an update file. I just found a file called Gypsy.exe that didn't do anything but open up a funny view window that contained a bunch of funny characters & symbols.

I got it to install - had to unplug my network cable. Can't believe they haven't fixed this in 6 months - or at least put a hint inside the readme.

Of course, the product still barely works. Tried VOP and only get the attack portion of each sample - it doesn't loop. And of course if you open any sub-dialog box (like the Settings panel), it creates a pretty white hole in the plugin GUI (using the latest version of Sonar anyway).

And fonts are still mostly illegible - missing pixels etc. I wish somebody put some effort into making the stuff work properly.

Are you behind a firewall or anti-virus or something? Never had to unplug network cables here, and the updates have gone through fine.

Try raising your buffer in Sonar, I think someone else had the same problem in another thread.
