Default Question to those who own GOLIATH

If you already owned the following would you still buy GOLIATH and what for if you did. I'm pondering purchasing it...

EWQLSO Platinum Pro XP
EWQL Symphonic Choirs
EWQL Fab Four

Thanks in advance for any and all info pertaining to this.

I'm confused about your question. Is this thread for people who own goliath or people who own the three you mention and bought goliath for a specific reason?

I bought Goliath. It's the only EW product I own (other than Colossus). I like it because it has all sorts of sounds instead of just a choir or an orchestra. The Stormdrone stuff makes some pretty neat soundtracks. I guess people call it a "Swiss Army Knife" tool because it covers a lot without really excelling at anything. That isn't to say they are subpar samples. I'm happy with my purchase and I love all of the instruments.

I realize my post probably doesn't help much but yeah, I think Goliath is pretty awesome.

Yes, Goliath is fantastic. As Alphadeus indicated, it does cover a lot of bases. The pads and stormdrones, alone, are really cool to work with. There is something for everybody with this library. I don't think you would be disappointed.

I only own Colossus, but I agree with the coolness of the pads and stormdrones. Also, the Bosendorfer 290 should probably eclipse the Steinway B for you. And since you don't have RA, you might also welcome the smattering of world instruments. Keep in mind that much of these probably won't have the number of articulations and velocity layers you're used to with SO and SC.

These are off the top of my head, and only with my knowledge of Colossus and the presumption of the B-290. If you're interested in those, it might be worth it, unless you're planning on getting RA, Forbidden Planet, and QL Pianos.

The pop brass library comes in handy here n there too, aswell as the stormdrome samples. Other than being an 'extra' sample library, its also a great 'on the run' typa thing, perfect for a laptop when your on a trip, out and about or at college (if your a student), just something easy to use that u can take around with you for quick work. Jeez, i sound like an advertiser or something

You nailed it ... our concept entirely ... a "swiss army knife" for composers, with better quality than a keyboard workstation.

David, there is some duplication with the orchestra samples, but they are not as detailed as what you have (purposely).

The choir samples are a mixture of Voices of the Apocalypse and SC, but there is not much SC in Goliath.
