Default Input with mouse

Hello,
i just got MoR last week and love it. I am working on a part that is a little wild and wanted to use the mouse to input data into the track because it moves a lot faster than my fingers. For some reason it's not recording anything...but I can hear it and see the input levels in sonar. I CAN record with my midi keyboard just fine. Just wondering if you can record on the fly with just the mouse and the MoR interface?

thanks for any responses.

You need to enable Automation recording in your DAW for that to happen. You cannot use the mouse to record from the PLAY interface straight, but rather using a MIDI CC that matches the certain parameter you want to control (for example you would have to use CC11 for Expression), or if your DAW permits, using the mouse to control the faders straight while the project is playing back. In SONAR, you can automate the track's volume level by "Enable Automation Write", hit "play", and then simply use the mouse to record the fader movements.

I've found myself reducing the tempo by half and playing with the keyboard, at least until I wake up as a virtuoso pianist one of these mornings.
