Default Upgrade path?

I'm trying to think this through and I don't feel super well, so bear with me...

I would love to get my hands on SO Platinum, SC, RA and Stormdrum. I can't figure out if they all have PLAY interfaces yet? Will they?

Does the complete collection have PLAY versions of all these in them? Am I able to upgrade from the CCC SO Gold to SO Platinum for a reasonable price? I'm really at a loss to figure these out after perousing the soundsonline website for a couple weeks. Seems like everything must wait until July 17th anyway! But will the CCC be available then??!?!? I am not a professional, it starts becoming serious $$ when you talk about 1000+ USD to get something.

Thanks all.

Only SO Platinum will be available in July, other PLAY versions for RA, SC are still in development.

The CCC collection is actually 60% off the individual prices.

Get some sleep Doug! It's Saturday!

I've had another read through, any upgrades require the 60% discount to be rubbed away... so... I buy CCC for 1000. I want SO PLAY Platinum Plus, normally 1200. I need to pony up the missing 420 bucks for a "full" Gold license, and then any upgrade on top of that... but I already have all the 16 bit articulations, I just need the 24bit 3-mic ones as well...

You can see how I'm starting to see issues with the possibility of doing all this? It's looking like I'd be asked for roughly 2000 US to have all these, which is approaching a full version of Platinum and CCC all by itself?! Where is the value of having the SO Gold in that equation?

It's still Friday here (7pm) ...

If your intention is to get this for upgrade to PLAY purposes, then it's not such a great deal. We put this package together for those that still want to use Kontakt in the future.

My first reading of the post was "its no problem" but you actually mean "yeah, its a shocker if that's your intention".

It's a great deal nevertheless. Just doesn't suit everyone.

Is there any upgrade path from Gold to Platinum using Kontakt?

Hey Xplora,

The upgrade from Gold to Platinum is available on the Platinum product page (look in the top right below "add to cart").

As a registered user of Symphonic Orchestra, you're eligible for a cross-grade to Kontakt by Native Instruments.

THanks for the reply. I'm not getting Platinum... just can't afford it. Maybe if I get another PC or a huge record deal LOL It was almost 1000 bucks to get it with CCC already. The only way to justify it would be recouping 500US or so on a Gold bundle license. Still. Can't do it!
