Default help with windows version

I have MOR, Goliath, and fab four. I also have cubase 4 currently running on xp 64bit, and since for whatever reason Steinberg has chosen not to support that operating system I am running everything in 32 bit mode. That dog don't hunt when it comes to the east west stuff. None of them work right in 32 bit mode with xp pro 64bit. I also can't get my Kore 2 controller to work either.

So, do I buy 64 bit vista home... ultimate? I really don't want to put that dog on my computer. or just get a copy of xp pro 32 bit and call it a day. I did get a new computer with 8 gigs of ram. Just not sure what direction to go.

Thanks in advance for any help.
Kevin

If you are going Vista, get Vista Home Premium. The less extra features the better; however I wouldn't like too little options either.

Native Instruments also claims their 64-bit hardware drivers are slated for release 2nd half of 2008; But just a sidenote that last year they said the first half.

I've been running C4 Studio with a lot of EW stuff under XP x64 without many issues.

What does "none of them work" mean for you? Does your system or Cubase crash?

When I first intalled MOR It would open but wouldn't load any samples... same with goliath. After some time with tech support I finally got MOR to load and play, but only with dropouts and bad distortion. Tech support told me that they have been having issues with 32 bit mode on a 64 bit system, but were trying to resolve them. I gave up at that point and have been trying to decide whether to go back to 32 bit xp which I know works without issue, and losing the extra ram, or buying that vista turd. I guess it wouldn't hurt to see if there have been any updates since I last tried to resolve the issue.

That's strange. Any difference with 1.0.079 update?
