My thoughts exactly... And yes, it does need more bass and exciting drums... For my tastes it's overall too stagnant, I would like to hear some more dynamic and harmonic variation.

I think its nearly a plain rip-off from Klaus Badelt`s Pirates theme. The start is almost the same, just a few notes in the end that are different! The whole tune got the same structure (sort of). I dont like it because of the lack of fantasy.

Yes Ryan ist right, there are Parallels with pirates of the carrebean. But the arrangement is very nice and the String Ostinato sounds amazing.
But in my opinion there should be more deep drums to give more bass and to boost the epic feeling .

Hmm.. I don't know.. Hans Zimmer has his musical style.. Our styles is different..
