Default DP Question...

Hey,
Is there a way to "SMPTE-lock" an audio file so that you can then change tempo/meter etc around the file without it moving position or getting time-stretched etc? I'm using an audio file as reference to tempo-map a session and I need it to stay put. The session is based on the audio file, it should match the piece in the recording in terms of tempo changes etc so it needs to stay stationary while I change the session around it until it matches..

In Logic this is as easy as clicking a button. Is there a way to do it in DP?

Thanks.

Hi Shnurgle,

in Dp,s Tracks window there is a column called lock. Just click in that column next to the track you want to "SMPTE" lock. A little yellow padlock will apear for each track you select as locked.

Hey Claude, thanks for the help. I was hoping there was a way to do this to specific regions, not just the whole track, but this is very helpful.

Thanks!

Also make sure in your preferences that the soundbites should NOT automatically adjust to tempo changes.
