Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I've been on the site, so I thought I would share with you my newest tracks I've composed in the past 3 months. Keep in mind, some of these tracks are more compressed than others, so there is a little distortion in some. Also, none of these tracks were used in the movies/titles they were named after. Just wanted to let you all know. Please all comments and feedback are welcome. Happy Easter! -Matt www.1m1music.com/mattsargent |

Hi Matt,
The link is not working properly for me. I click on the name of a song and it takes me to a blank page. regards John |

Hi John,
Thanks for letting me know. For some reason I just clicked on the link and then a couple of tracks and they worked fine for me. Do you have the latest version of Quicktime? Hope this helps. Best regards, -M |

Cool! Listening to "Atonement" right now, and it sounds pretty good. Although it didn't remind of the dark and weird score to that movie.
Wait a minute, what the... Terminator Salvation sounds like that Batman song you posted a while back. Maybe I'm misremembering? Overall, the songs sound realistic, but somehow don't sound the same as movie scores, if that makes any sense... Anyway, good job, I'm a fan.

Hey Spinning,
Yes, you're right. The titles are simply to give an idea of the genre of film. Like an action movie like Watchmen would have an action like sounding track. And good memory on the Batman piece! You're correct, it is the same piece, but I had to rename all these tracks to movie titles because the producers of the TV shows (I can't mention which shows) I'm working on will get an idea of what kind of style they are getting. Thanks again for your input and all comments are still welcome! -Matt |

I listened to 5 of them. Planet 51 sounds like Defiance. They all sounded rather cliche. That may be what the film industry is looking for. If that's the case you've done a nice job. You seem to like some things more than others, the cymbal roll to start a track for instance. Everything has a big sound and everything sounds like it was written by someone else. I liked that your Ice Age turned western. I hope you're successful enough to be able to develop your own style.

Hi pantonality,
Thanks for your input. The TV composer I work with specifically wants me to sound like other pieces of music and composers. For instance, 'Avatar' suppose to sound like Back to the Future. So yes your right, they do sound like other composers. I do have my own style, but this page is my newest stuff for certain projects, so that's why they mostly sound similar. Thanks again for your comments. -Matt |
