Default lost in the phylosophy in update's

At this very moment there is an platinum SO update for the instruments library ( 1.02 ) and the sample Library ( 1.01 ).

However for the Palinum Plus version there is only a sample Library update 1.01

If Plus is an Extended version off Platinum ( 24 and 16 bits ) .

For what reason is there not an instrument library update 1.02 for the Plus version.

Platinum is a full part of the Plus version as i understood in the past

I believe this is because the same "Instrument" file (.ewi) is being used in both Platinum and Platinum Plus. The difference is in which samples are referenced by the .ewi (16/24) hence the need for a sample library update but not an instrument update.

maybe...

In anyway I think it would be wise to think of the logics in updating and numering them. It's not the first time one of us is pondering which is which and who is who !

If at least they could begin using 1.1.xx type of marking and not 1.1.x, which gives ten times more possibilities to match with uderstandability.

I do have still the question :

I am a user of Platinum Plus, do i have to install the Insturments update 1.02 from Platinum into Platinum plus ??

I rather think that the Instrument 1.02 update is for Platinum aswell as for Platinum plus

Yes.

Platinum and Platinum Plus use the same instrument files (until someone tells me I'm wrong, anyway) so they use the same "Instrument Update" 1.02.

Where P and P+ differ is that the latter also has 16bit samples so it requires a separate "Sample Update" from Platinum since Platinum has only the 24bit samples.
