Im probably going to purchase a Visiondaw system and Ive seen that their service can include full installation of EW software.
But how do you proceed? Do you first buy the products over here then get everything shipped over to Visiondaw seat? Or are they going to buy the libraries for you prior agreement? Thanks for this.

I have three VisionDaws, and I often had them install software.
All you need to do is get them the serial numbers and they will install it. Or I do also believe you can buy it directly from them.

Just make sure if you do so to give them your ilok key, or buy one. It is possible for them to completely *install* all of your sample libraries... Then have you authorize them at home (with an internet connection of course) should you wish to keep the serials for your input once the system has arrived, course it would be sensible to have them do everything in house. However, keep in mind that you would not be able to get the CCC *customized* package from them, which is the best deal on the planet right now! I wonder if they would be able to install them, after purchase? From my experience EastWest ships quickly and arrived more than quickly. Last edited by Johnny_B; 08-19-2009 at 10:16 AM. |

BTW, I just spoke to them on the phone...
A complete JOY to deal with them! Mark was awesome and gave me great insight on what is needed and how to do it.. Ryan is busy at the moment taking care of a certain customer/composer in the Q+A section... This is where the pros go, so I am sold. Next system: VisionDAW!!!!! |

THX everybody! Sounds interesting -
I called them up and they seemed fairly helpful. My only question now would be: why would you want them to install the libraries for you? It aint too difficult! What advantages does that bring??

If you buy QL Pianos (full edition) Expect 16 hours installation time....Not including authorizing the ilok for the serial #. Personally, it didn't take this long, but I had a corrupted disk. Should this happen to you (hopefully it's never disk #1) copy the files over manually. |

Sounds really interesting.
Do you have to be familiar with windows to use Vision DAW are they MAC user friendly? I'm not exactly sure how it all works. Standalone/ADAT? Sync? MIDI? Software? Can anyone explain the operational details? Thanks.

Although, an apple Mac Pro is a PC....I'm sure they can do it. OSX can be run on PC's despite Apple being against it. |
