Hi there,
Not complaining because (and I have everything made) these pianos sound absolutely authentic and in some ways BETTER than some rooms I've recorded in. My only comment is that I started the load this morning at 10:30am and am up to disc 18 ot 35 so at this rate it'll take 12 hours to load. I gladly, happily and enthusiastically would have paid another $75 or so to have everything on a USB drive which is a realistic cost these days. Perhaps something the folks at EW can consider in the future. Thanks! Ron |

Took me exactly 9 hours yesterday to load 3 out of the 4 (I skipped the Yamaha) so I can sympathize. Well worth the wait though, but yes, I could have used the time for other activities.

I've found that, for me - provided there's no real urgency to get the libraries loaded - it's good to do a few disks each day. And (since my studio is at my home) it's not much trouble to do some during the evenings - I just have to remember to go back to the computer occasionally to start the next disk. That way, although it might take a few days from starting to ending, there's not actually much of my time taken up, because I get on with other things while the disks are being copied.

Seems almost too long.
Slow optical drive? Not exchanging the next DVD as soon as another has loaded??

I imagine each of these DVDs must cost EW about $1 ea. to produce. Buying 250GB USB drives in bulk from a company like buffalo would probably be around the same cost considering a 320GB drive at retail is $70. And everyone has USB these days. (Certainly on a computer that is needed to run Play.) |

Just to add a last note, the wait is TOTALLY worth it. I've been playing piano since I was 3 and I am astounded by how remarkable these pianos sound. It feels more like your listening to a mastered perfectly recorded piano as you're playing instead of just an acceptable sound.
EW I bow down and kiss your feet. LOL! Best, Ron |

Took me 12 hours to load too. Beautiful pianos though!
One major problem I have had since loading QL Pianos is that PLAY seems to have forgotten the settings and instruments for other, older songs I was working on. Anyone else found this?.

You know what, guys? I have to totally agree, this is bunk!
True pianos took me only a few minutes to install...I'd like a refund (in full) for my QL Pianos full edition! No, seriously, I'm serious! |

What about if sold these things on hard-drives if they exceed a certain size, external would be preferable. And maybe partnering with a big player in that field will keep costs down.
