Ah ha thats funny not one comment on this piece but already 4 Gold stars ?? Hmm.... how does that work? If you put it on Soundclick or something like that then people will listen to it, many are a bit touchy downloading stuff that might bring a bug with it.

Just listened once through, and liked it. I'm only listening on computer speakers at the moment (so it's hard to judge) but the blend of choir and orchestra seems very realistic. (I can't make out any words, though.)

During the first section, I wished it was faster, so I was pleased with the more energetic feel that started at about 1:20. Further in, I realised there were several sections at different speeds. I see mention of this piece elsewhere on the internet (ocremix.org) in relation to a game - I wondered whether the original music was composed with the game in mind and whether that had any bearing on the structure. Is the name Kefka taken from the game?

Apart from the obvious quotations from "Also Sprach Zarathustra" starting about 4:45, there were a few places where, for a second or two, I was reminded of classical pieces - perhaps that was just me making spurious connections? Because of the name, I listened to Fuga Kefka afterwards (though not intently, and whilst doing something else) and noticed that, where the organ entered, there was a seemingly slightly twisted brief quotation from the famous Bach organ fugue in D min at about 3:40 - so I wondered whether you do deliberately make small references to other music, here and there in you pieces.

Also, as I'm typing now, "Devotion and Deception" has been playing in the background for a couple of minutes, and I'm liking that, too.

Hi Derako,

I really enjoyed listening to your arrangement. Very nice orchestration. Choirs are quite realistic.

Regards John
