EWSO Networking

I was reading on the site that the SO will have networking capibilities. I have not seen anything on how to accomplish this. Is it still being developed and will be released with PLAY PRO? Or has it been implimented and I am not looking in the correct place? Another question about the networking is that will it be cross platform?? I have an iMac i5 as my sequencer, an a windows 7 systems as my sampler/slave. I already have a number of EW VI on the mac so I would like to have the SO on the windows system. I already plan on getting Vienna Ensamble Pro, but of course, there are the issues with PLAY on VEP. I know there are also work arounds with VEP and play using jbridge, but I kinda want to limit the paths that are taken through software because that is just one more thing that can go down. Any info on this would be great. Thanks
