HS Staccato

I´m working on a film score production and bought the HS uniquely for this production, and I cant get it to sound good. In the Staccato patch, (foremost the 1st violins) the sounds are faded out too quickly. Im playing slower parts and therefore need a staccato sound with a real sounding ending. 1 of 9 in the RR9 patch has an ending with a longer tail, so the sound I´m looking for comes every 9th time. Is there some CC controlling with sound is the ending sound, or does the PLAY enginge put some kind of volume envelope on the sounds to make them sound better when played in fast succession?
PLease help me out. The manual gives me no clue.
