How to authorize Hollywood Strings with another computer?

Hi friends,


My system is not connected to internet.

After installing HS; how do one authorize HS with another computer?

I really dont want to connect my daw to the net.

You just use the authorization tool from the install disk and enter your code, the licence will be downloaded to the ilok, then you put the ilok in the DAW and enjoy

Hi Christer!

I have HS Diamond on a harddisc.

I cant enter the authorization tool on my computer, because it asks for an internet-connection.

How do I use another computer (that is connected to internet), when I dont have DVD`s? (to use on the connected computer).

find the license activation wizard that came with HS. Copy it to a thumbdrive and take it to a PC with internet. Plug in iLok. Activate iLok.

Wont you need internet anyway to use as a slave? To send midi and audio?

Nothing worked, so I had to reinstall everything, and get online to get the job done.

I thought you could just activate your iLok on any computer with internet, not necessarily your DAW, then plug the iLok back into your DAW and it would work just like that...?

I did, that's what I meant. I used my laptop to run the authorization wizard, get licence to iLok, then take iLok to my DAW and plug it in. All good.

When installing from the DVD on the laptop, only click the authorization wizard to be installed.
