RA sounds wonderful!
I've been wanting this library for a while, but have been waiting for the excitement of EWQLSO Platinum and Stormdrum to wear off! I've always had an affinity for Middle Eastern and North African instruments and can't wait to buy this set. What are the instruments being played in Nick Phoenix's demo "Expedition" at 1:52 and then at 2:24? That second instument is so beautiful and lyrical sounding. Also, when is the next EW sale going to happen? Perhaps a Valentine's Day sale?

You may still find some shops with Ra at the Xmas price. My understanding was that the discount price was the amount the SHOPS purchased the products from East West.

Listening to the demos for RA is really whetting my appetite!
Any word on an upcoming sale?

I've had RA for a couple of weeks now. It is fantastic! I've barely even scratched the surface of what is in there. I've been focusing on India as it is what I am working on but I can't wait to do some Middle Eastern belly dances (my wife knows how to belly dance so I will look for her seal of approval and of course a demonstration) take a walk on the great wall of China, explore the high Andes and I am dying to use the bagpipes on something. They sound great. Are they making a sequel to Braveheart anytime soon? Oh, and I have a Cajan swamp tune that will sound great with that big ol' Washbrun with an open D tuning. I love the all the ethnic sounds and they mix really well with EWQLSO. For me this purchase was a choice between the Choirs and RA and I choose RA. Not that I am knocking the Choirs as that will be my next major library purchase.
This is my first sketch with RA: On the Bus |
