Feature Idea for the update downloading page for EW website.

I have an idea to implement a code for the updates page for this website.

Instead of downloading the updates for the instruments and Play engine one by one, it'll be much faster and organized if you had a build in download manager where with the interface you pick all the updates that you want to download and it generates a temporary rar or zip package which includes all the published updates that you chose.

for example:

Include in package:
[ ] - MoR instrument update 2.1.2
[V] - Symphonic Choir Instrument Update 2.3.5
[V] - Symphonic Choir Expansion Instrument update 2.3.5
[ ] - Etc.
[ ] - Etc.
[V] - Etc
[V] - Etc.

[Download Package]

I feel that this way we will have a MUCH more organized way to download updates. Instead of spending 15 minutes on browsing for updates on pages it'll be 5 minutes of simple clicking the check boxes. So you know... when you need to download All the latest updates for like 9 Play instruments... it'd take 5 minutes High five for the convenience anyone?

Or, if i'm not mistaken, you can download the single Play Update and that will update All the instruments you have at once.

Correct. Instrument Updates are different than Play (Engine/GUI) updates. The Play Updates update the interface, while Instrument Updates update the samples used by the interface.

I'd welcome a "one-stop-shop" for the Instrument Updates. It would be in line with what the Play Update does.

Maybe we could make something like a petition or a group request and collect approvals so that EW site designed would consider the idea.

Hmmm.... sure it would be nice, but honestly I think this is no biggie. I'd rather they spent the time and resources on other things.

well this would improve the apeal to the site AND there is practically only a few lines of code... spend maybe half an hour to 50 minutes to do this.
