Default The Salary & Rate Survey 2011

I just got this link from the Pres of the Nashville Composers Assoc. I thought some composers here might be interested in what it has to say about pay.

How Much Is That Composer In The Window?

Hi Paul,

I have a question: what does it say about pay? Sorry, I don't understand statistics, would please please point to me, in English, what those numbers say about real life gigs payments?

You know, it's like: "cancer rate is on the rise by 2.17%." Nice to know, but what does that say about my health?

No, that's precisely why I DON'T buy it. Would you buy a book that reportedly explains how the statistics about cancer allegedly affect your health condition?

They first have to convince me of how statistics influence reality (and specifically my life), and only then I will consider buying their statistics-filled book.

Only a few were quoted, which I'm pretty sure you would have seen, but here it is again, anyway. They can't exactly republish the book.

2000 TV Movie
Low Budget – $10,000 to $25,000
Medium Budget – $30,000 to $50,000
High Budget – $75,000+

2011 TV Movie
Low Budget – $5,000 to $20,000
Medium Budget – $25,000 to $50,000
High Budget – $55,000+
