3 Flute staccato? G0
Solo Flute staccato? C#1 Piccolo Flute staccato? G#0 Not a big deal but pretty annoying. Please fix this in Hollywood Winds and I hope this randomness is already addressed in HS and HB because my wallet is slowly growing and will burst in front of EastWest studios.

Yes, it’s very annoying and inconvenient; seems like each instrument was programmed by someone different. I look forward to Play Pro, and the ability to fix this.

Quote:
What you do is right-click on a given note number for an articulation (for example, the "G0" in "G0 - Staccato" on the Articulations list), and a long menu will appear with a bunch of note names and their corresponding octave number. Choose the one you want to reassign it to, and make sure release trails are on. Most importantly, after you're done that, switch keyswitch notes if there is another articulation in that spot (or just choose a different keyswitch note). It is a little glitchy at times, but I've found it to work really well in most cases. I have a custom patches folder strictly for Keyswitched instruments, and all of them have custom assignments. - Justin |
