Hey guys!
Just two random questions here: 1) why is Invincible on CDbaby? They use this music on cool trailers for multi million movies, but the album is on the label that everyone can use? 2) When making the QL Piano library, is there one pianist (or person) who presses one note and repeats that one thousand times? or is it automated with a machine? (so that every velocity has the same volume?)

Everyone can use? Listen to it, yes. Nobody can use it. Do you really think that when you pay for another artist's work, that you can use it?

Thats right. If you want to use it you normally have to pay licence fees and the broadcasting company has to pay royalties to the composers. This is how many of us earn money. Itīs not like you buy a CD a have the right to use the music in any way.

LOL
I mean that everyone can use the label. You just need to make an account, and you can upload whatever sound you made. ![]() It's not an 'official' label, while the music is quite 'officially' used

But is not having a "label" really so bad. I can't speak to music royalties but I I can on book royalties. Essentially the author gets none. The book is discounted, no royalties. So, digital self-publishing is often more lucrative (not I did NOT say you can earn a living either way).
That said, I'd still like to read an answer to the second question.... |

John Sawoski had the honor of playing every single note and velocity, no machines.

Whoa! I always thought there was a machine that presses the keys in all the pre-programmed different velocities. That guy had quite some work to do
