Default trombone slides in HB?

Just got HB...

Anyone know if its possible to make really convincing trombone slides in HB? (between 2 sustained notes) Im surprised they weren't sampled indepth for the tbones group.

And the jazz slides dont sound too good. Ive updated to latest patch and even if i play both notes really quietly, the slide itself is loud and jarring...

other than that and some dodgy looping on the low tuba notes, it sounds amazing! The French Horn leg especially!

It is possible, altough it depends very much on the interval and the particular note. Its right, the solo trombone only does ff transitions. I think the 3 bones can be described as mf to ff with the interval transition. Until now I only used semi or whole-tone slides with crescendo-decrescendo - the kind of classical doppler-effect. If you like to hear them used in a piece of mine - go to my soundcloud and listen to "Jewel of the East" (there is one at 1:25 for example).

But I have to agree, the slides are not sampled very much in depth, or at least, that, what has been sampled, didn't turn out to be that much versatile and good in quality.

Hopefully they do expansions to the libraries later (like they did with SO) to address these issues and add what is missing.

I used both, the solo and the 3 trombones slides, if I remember correctly... (its a year ago). But again, this is really an easy task for samples. I only played a semitone slide. This could also have been done with the pitch-wheel. In fact, I think I also layered french horns in that way.
