Synth hardware antiquated
This is a blub from the Korg TR.
"The EXB-SMPL comes standard with 16 MB of sample memory. Users can install a maximum of two 72-pin SIMM memory modules to expand the memory up to 64 MB."
72-pin simms? You can't even buy those anymore. Why are hardware synths so far behind computer technology. Wow a whopping 16mb of sample memory? That chip must have cost an extra 50 cents.
Not to mention the whopping 64mb of sample rom? How do these things sound as good as they do when they cram 512 sounds/samples into 64mb.
