Hi James, nice metal demo.
But the mix is very bad, the guitars are too loud, did you use a limiter ? That could help you.
The strings sound definitely too much synthetic. Finally, do something on your drums, they are awful. My 2 cents

The problem is the other instruments aren't loud/clear enough -- I think the guitars themselves would be okay if I could bring the drums/bass up. you have the right idea
