Default I need words on how I can improve :)

Hi, thanks for reading! (And I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to post this)

I (like everyone else i imagine) want as much feedback as possible, descriptions on how I could improve.. whatever it is you points out :)

Here's my newest composition, I called it a string quartet, even tho it features a fifth instrument, a bass.

What great about it, and what could be improved?

Note, it's not feedback for this specific composition, more like general feedback for me, this is just my newest, most ''finished'' composition, which best reflects my abilities.

We have a Music Cafe where you can post all of your music.

Read the following threads and follow the many links:
- Tips and tricks for relatively new people,
- Seasoned composers - opinion needed
- Composing action/thriller music - Tips?
- Your favourite articulations from Hollywood series
While you probably know a lot of it already, I find reading and listening to stuff again and again
helps one to better understand something that one didnīt comprehend before.

Apart from that: Practice, experiment and practice some more.
EW is at first experimenting with patches until you hit a sound you like.

- You really might want to think about calling it a Quintet, if there are five instruments.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that. I donīt think misleading the audience is called for.
- Try using different patches and articulations. Itīs currently a bit monotonous.
- Be more careful with your volume. There are sometimes sudden jerks in it.

The following are Facebook groups, which are quite useful:
Lorenz W. - EastWest Technical Support

Some helpful threads: Sample Path, Library Sizes, Tips and Tricks, On Harddrives
