This Votox thing is pretty amazing but am still having a hard time getting some basic words to sound real...Is there a way you guys can create a database to store certain generic words/sylables in the votox language so people/rookies like us can utilize eg: This, King, Black, behold, soothe, misery, plague, murder, bitch...lol...ok mayber not but i will like to surprise a few stupid ex's with a full church singing "oh death to thee bitches
"...Am I just being lazy? The learning curve is no joke i tells ya! |

Hello,
The english mode in WordBuilder has a basic dictionary. If you type words it recognizes in English, it should make a decent equivalent. You can even add your own words to the dictionary. There's also a pre-made phrases menu on the right side of the player with some latin. To give examples of some words you posted (how I would first approach it): "Oh death to thee black plague of misery" o deT! TO t!E blAK pleEg uv mi-zUr-E You may also want to look at the updated Votox chart here: http://support.soundsonline.com/faq/...=55&artlang=en -Sam |

well...
Yes, I have it memorized. That doesn't mean I don't make mistakes or that the words don't need any tweaking, though! It's not too hard, but I sort of had to over the course of troubleshooting, typing up FAQ entries, and answering posts. If you want to learn quick, I guess you could try flash cards. Some tips: -Lowercase consonants are pitched -Uppercase consonants are unpitched -Exclamation points are for two letter combos (sh, th, ch, rr) That last point isn't completely technically correct, but can be useful. Don't know if this is helpful, but here's my process. Basically, I speak (or think-speak) a word to myself really slowly: soundsonline. Then I look at the chart (now it's in my head though). S (as in Silver) ou (like mOUse) n (greeN) d (reD) S (Silver) pause o (wAnder) n (greeN) pause l (Less) i (sIGH) ne (greeN) If I look that up, I get: SaOndS-an-laEn Maybe with the particular line I'm playing, I want the 's' at the end of 'sounds' to play when I play my second note. Then I could change it to: SaOnd-San-laEn -Sam |
