Question recording sounds different

I tried recording some things and during recording it sounded fine. (I have all the consonants' volumes adjusted how I want them and everything else.)

After I'm done recording I play it back and it sounds different then while I was recording it. The consonants are all louder and other funky stuff. How is this possible? It does this with all the voices.

Hmmm, we are both using Sonar 3.xx, which us not officially supported. You should updated to Sonar 3.1.1, though. That is the latest 3.xx version (it is the one I am using),

This might be why we both have this same problem.

Are you using it as a DXi or VSTi? I am using it as a DXi because I had problems with stuck notes as VSTi, but they recommend using the VSTi version of Kompakt/Kontakt in Sonar.

Hi Audiochild,

What version of Cubase?

Jeff and Calaf, it would be excellent if you could each create a very small project that exhibits the problem. We're not going to be able to test it on SONAR 3, but I'll at least be able to say if it's worth your while to upgrade to the latest version of SONAR. You can send me an email with this project by clicking on my name and choosing the send email option.

Hi Sam,

I'm using SL3 on a dual core 3,2 GH with 3 GB RAM

the problems have been there all the time with wordbuilder but not that intense so that the second or third bounce usually was ok. but now its nearly impossible to import a single word. either the consonants are missing or some vowels or both, and it doesnt seem to get the tweaking data always.

I took everything down to one midi track with one voice having only one wordbuilder and one multi loaded but still the same problem.

Hello,

Then my above request to Jeff and Calaf applies. I don't have SL 3, but it should be very similar to SX.

Okay, let me see what I can do. I would e-mail it it to you as a Sonar project file, I suppose.

I don't know if I am having a really problem with this (stuttering "T" problem). It may be just something that needs massaging in word builder. Otherwise, it seems the DXi version of Kontakt 2 is working fine.

The stuck notes when I use the VSTi version of Kontakt 2 is annoying. But it might just happen when playing, not recording (hmm, its sort of the opposite problem. Interesting).

I did a very short file of one of the middle voices soloed.
I'll upload in a sec.

I think in my case its not a tweaking issue because I tweaked everything until it sounded well. in 1 out of 50 times it gets played that way but all the other times there are mistakes inside.
