Yes, Play 6.1 is free and ohmicide and everything that's in Play 5 still exists in it

You can install Play 6 on top of Play 5, though you might (if you have the play_VST_x64.dll VST2 file somewhere unique on your PC) want to delete the plugin files to make sure the plugin files all get written properly as the new version (doesn't ever hurt to run the uninstaller before the installer of a new version though)

I am quite confused, i mean, first, the east west
play 6, did cost money, not long ago , if i remember i
correctly, and dont want to pay for play 6,
i mean, i have bought lots of instrument,
so the way i see it, play 6 should be free!
I have licensed and did setup all my
license / auhthorized all my east west stuff
on a Ilok usb dongle, and ofcourse i have an acount on both
soundsonline and Ilok, so i dont want to touch
the Ilok etc, just install play 6 over 5, overwritting
play 5 complety, but first i will backup play 5 dll.
Thanks for the answer.
Chears Henrik.

Can i just update the play5, or should i do
a clean install, by removing the play 5 dll, etc?.
I am afraid , if i do a “clean” install,
play 6 might not remember my library
location on my SSD’s ??!.
I once updated the Toontrack Superior drummer 2,
after that, the installer did delete superior drummer
contents library (40gb!), by mistake, can you
believe that, thats why i am very sensitive
about touching any thing!.

Just installed it yesterday, works
perfect.
fast loading, and play 6, is stable,
and much easier to work with,
you can even mix different east weat
libraries in play 6.
thanks.
So much better than before, wow!.

bummer!
“Littlebit regret bought PLAY6 at 1rst released and now free”:
i never understood , why East West wanted
money for play, in the first place, i mean ,
most user buy instrument, etc, but play
should be free, atleast thats what i think.
When i saw Play 6 did cost money, i did
refuse to pay money for it, and kept
using Play 5.
Many months after, i just saw Play suddenly
was free, which is great!.
I hope East West user, that bought
product, will get some giveaway in the future.
