Default How to credit the "Voice" series in published tracks ?

Hello guys,

does anybody know how the singers of the voice series should be credited ?

"featuring Uyanga Bold" for example would be plain boasting for just using Voice of the Empire in a track, while not mentioning her name would be unfair, and won't stop people saying "isn't it the voice of Uyanga Bold on this track ?"

Would like to know your opinion.

Or maybe East West has an official response ?

Thanks !

I think not. You wouldn't put the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra, Spike Stent (If you use Pro Drummer), Doug Roger & Nick Phoenix as producers (since they produce all libraries), or any other artists that's been working on these libraries in your creditlist.
If you did you would imply that those artists actually took part of your music recording/production.
If you make a no.1 hit im sure they wouldn't mind, but if your song is mediocre, they would probably not like to have their name attached to it..
If you want to give credit you could simply just write featuring sample instruments from EWQL on your website or in the cd booklet.

Interesting thoughts, indeed I hadn't seen things that way !
The question comes from the fact that curators asked who was singing, I pointed them on the product page, and they wrote "with the voice of..."
I guess that as long as it's on the "track information" that nobody reads it's OK.
I totally agree with you on the idea that everyone here should be credited for their work, from performer to programmer !

Thanks for your input Morten.

Hey Thierry,

we actually do have a response for that question taken from here.
Do I have to credit the use of the sound samples on my CD sleeve, credits, etc?

In most cases this is not required, but is always appreciated (you would credit any musician that played on your track, wouldn't you?).
If you do want to credit us, I'd probably go along the lines of
"With sample instruments from EastWest." as Morten already suggested.
